Is there anything instead of Summer Camp?

New for 2024 Don Grom in partnership with Bateman’s Bike Co will be offering a development program beyond summer camp for those kids looking to build on their riding and take it to the next level! The program will run from April into the Fall with a summer break period. The program will function much like other competitive sport organizations, there will be tryouts and a selection process. Details will be launching in February 2024, in the meantime if you are interested in finding out more please contact Rob info@batemansbikeco.com

Can I leave my bike at the Dom Grom home base rather than bring it back and forth?

Yes, campers can leave their bike at the camp home base overnight during the week they are attending camp to avoid bringing it back and forth to camp.  The bikes will be stored securely in the camp building; locks are not necessary.

Can I make a request for my kid to be in the same group as a friend?

If your child wants to be in the same group as another camper, friend requests can be made by contacting info@campdongrom.com. Please note that skill level, experience and goals will determine each child’s group to ensure safety and fun for all.

What happens if it rains?

We bike rain or shine! Depending on how hard it’s raining, we will pivot and adapt as necessary. When shelter is needed, campers will spend some time in covered locations in the Don or at the camp Hub doing off bike activities such as: learning about their bikes, bike maintenance, bike safety and discussing various biking techniques, playing games, arts & crafts, and engaging in whatever fun activities the counsellors have up their sleeves. Staff are constantly adapting the program depending on weather, the groups energy level and interests.

What happens if a camper misses a day, can they make it up another week?

For the sake of all participants, we are unable to offer make-up days or credits for camp days missed by a participant. We thank you for understanding!
